Elmira, New York – Fagan Engineers & Land Surveyors, P.C. (FE) is pleased to announce that three members of the Staff are now licensed to operate a Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS or drone). President, James Gensel, P.E., Surveyor, Mark Flora, and Wetland Delineator, Jon Butcher have received the Part 107 sUAS (Drone) FAA license, in an effort to provide more value to Clients. FE is utilizing state of the art equipment to augment project development from initial concept through construction management with the latest in sUAS technology.

“The ability to capture high resolution aerial photography at the direction of our Licensed Engineers and Surveyors will provide a higher level of accuracy to our commercial, industrial and residential land development projects. The addition of sUAS licenses will ensure that FE is capable of reviewing project sites from every possible angle from site feasibility through construction and commissioning,” said James Gensel, President.

FAA Part 107 sUAS certification ensures that licensed sUAS operators are familiar with the rules and regulations required for responsible sUAS operation. Moreover, licensed FE Staff are well versed in Local, State, and Federal legislation regarding drone use in engineering and surveying fields, as well as upcoming FAA requirements with emphasis placed on National Airspace System considerations.

FE Staff is insured and FAA Part 107 certified for all aspects of commercial drone operation.
